These terms and conditions will apply whether or not you are a registered user and by accessing the site, or by registering, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:-

1. Terms and Conditions
1.1 In the event that there are other Terms and Conditions within areas of the Site which relate to your use of such areas, such Terms and Conditions will apply, together with these Term and Conditions.

1.2 We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions from time to time. It shall be your responsibility to check the Terms and Conditions regularly to ensure that you agree with the amendments. If you do not agree to any changes which we have made you should stop accessing the Site immediately.

2. Registration
2.1 You acknowledge that you are registering as a personal user of the Site and access is via your username and password. By registering, you agree to accept these Terms and Conditions.

2.2 We allow you to register with and access the Site on the basis that:
(i) your username and password are personal to you and may not be used by, or divulged to, anyone else;
(ii) you will not do anything which would assist anyone who is not a registered user to gain access to any part of the Site;
(iii) any information you supply to us in the course of registering or setting up any of these personalised services is subject to our privacy policy;
(iv) on registration, you must provide us with accurate and complete registration information and it is your responsibility to inform us of any changes to that information;

2.3 We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to or use of all or some areas of the Site without any notice to you at any time. If we wish to bring the registration agreement to an end, we will do so by emailing you at the address you provided when you registered. The agreement will terminate and your username and password will become invalid immediately.

2.4 Your registration information will be held in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

3. Terms of Use of the Site
3.1 Whilst we will do our best to provide constant, uninterrupted access to the Site, we do not guarantee that the Site will be available to you at all times. For the avoidance of doubt we accept no responsibility or liability for any interruption or delay.

3.2 The Site allows you to view material in various forms, as well as to upload material to the Site in various forms. We allow you to do this on the basis that:

(ii) You ensure that any information or material you post or submit for publication on the Site is accurate, and complete in all material respects, up-to-date and not misleading; is not defamatory, threatening, abusive or obscene, does not infringe any third party intellectual property rights and does not contain any other unlawful content; and specifies any relevant qualifications you have where the holding of those qualifications is required by law for the type of employment you are seeking;
(iii) You will not impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent any affiliation with any person or entity in your use of the Site;
(iv) You will not attempt to collect or store other users' personal data;
(v) You will ensure that your use of the Site is lawful and does not cause any damage, interference or impairment to the Site. In particular, you will not upload or post any viruses, files or code designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of the Site or any computer software or equipment; or upload or post any spam onto the Site.

Should you breach any of these clauses, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless ICAS from any claims costs and expenses arising out of any such breach.

4. Use of material appearing on the Site

4.1 The design, images and content of the Site are, unless otherwise stated, the property of ICAS or the licensor's property.

4.2 You may download and print extracts from the material and make copies of these for your own personal use only. You are not allowed to download or print the material, or extracts from it, in a systematic or regular manner so as to create a database in electronic or paper form comprising all or part of the material appearing on the Site. For the purposes of this agreement, 'material' means material including, without limitation, text, video, graphics and sound material, published on the Site, whether copyright of ICAS or a third party.

4.3 You must not reproduce any part of the Site or the material or transmit it to or store it in any other website or disseminate any part of the material in any other form, unless we have indicated that you may do so.

5. Disclaimer of liability
5.1 We act as a venue for employers to post job opportunities and candidates to submit job applications. We are not involved in the actual transaction between employers and candidates. As a result, we do not represent or guarantee the truthfulness, accuracy or reliability of information posted, or endorse any opinions expressed on the Site. You must not rely on any statement we have published on the Site without first taking specialist professional advice.

5.2 Nothing in the material is provided for any specific purpose or at the request of any particular person. For the avoidance of confusion, we will not be liable for any direct or indirect or consequential loss (including any loss of business, earnings or opportunity and loss of profit or goodwill), caused as a result of your doing, or not doing, anything as a result of your use of the Site, or inability to use the Site.

5.3 We give no warranties of any kind concerning the Site or the material. In particular, we do not warrant that any of its contents is virus free. You must take your own precautions in this respect as we accept no responsibility for any infection by virus or other contamination or by anything which has destructive properties.

We accept no responsibility for the content of advertising material, including, without limitation, any error, omission or inaccuracy therein.

7. Jurisdiction and extent of agreement
7.1 Nothing in these terms and conditions shall be construed as creating any agency, partnership or any other form of joint enterprise between you and us.

7.2 This agreement is governed by Scottish law and the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
